As reflected in his memoirs, John Muir advised President Teddy Roosevelt, regarding the need to protect Yosemite as a National Park, that one could not come up and visit "his mountains"  without having a profound  "Spiritual Experience" take place within themselves, i.e. coming into contact, on a gut level, with the absolute reality of our being connected to, and a part of, it ALL. We are not seperate from, but a part of, it ALL.
